About the role#
This is a 12-week, paid, in-person internship for Summer 2027. We are looking for students to join our engineering teams to help design and build hardware. You will work on-site at one of our locations and may travel to test sites or vendors as required. This role requires U.S. Person status to access export-controlled data.
What you'll do#
- Design and build prototypes.
- Analyze project failures and move successful designs into production.
- Present design reviews and run technical analysis.
- Visit vendors to oversee work.
- Design and execute hardware test plans.
- Base your decisions on first principles physics.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Must be a rising senior at the time of the internship and returning to school afterward.
- Experience with CAD software and creating engineering drawings that meet industry standards.
- Hands-on fabrication experience.
- Experience with collegiate project teams or laboratory work.
- Proficiency in engineering first principles.
