About the role#
Anduril Maritime develops autonomous underwater vehicles. This co-op role supports a small team of engineers who design, build, and test their own hardware. You will own one or more scoped projects end to end with support from a mentor.
What you'll do#
- Perform hull form resistance studies and parametric resistance analysis.
- Conduct internal volume and arrangement trade studies for vehicle designs.
- Develop stability and loading conditions for candidate vehicle configurations.
- Conduct producibility and manufacturing studies for hull fabrication approaches.
- Design and analyze systems for launch and recovery or propulsion.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in naval architecture, marine engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
- Working knowledge of naval-architecture analysis tools such as Maxsurf, Rhino, Orca3D, or GHS.
- Ability to define and deliver a self-contained engineering artifact in 8 weeks.
- Hands-on experience building or testing hardware through machining, fabrication, or model building.
- Familiarity with classification society rules like ABS or DNV for structural scantlings.
- U.S. Person status to access export-controlled data.
