About the role#
This internship sits within the Disputes & Economics practice, specifically focusing on the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector. You will join a project team to support clients including hospitals, pharmacies, and payers. The work involves addressing complex disputes, investigations, and regulatory compliance matters. You will contribute to projects that directly impact client outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Perform financial, accounting, economic, and statistical analyses.
- Build computer models, including complex spreadsheet analyses.
- Conduct detailed fact finding and research.
- Gather data, including document review and quality control for data entry.
- Prepare expert reports and exhibits.
- Document your analysis and provide client service.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Public Policy.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with SQL, Microsoft Access, or statistical packages like R, SAS, or SPSS.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and solve problems creatively.
- Interest in the healthcare industry and working with large data sets.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. (U.S. citizen or permanent resident).
- Ability to work overtime or travel if the project requires it.
