About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2026 term. You will work on-site in Santa Clara, California, as part of our mechanical engineering team.
What you'll do#
- Design and optimize mechanical devices, machines, and systems using your background in physics, mathematics, and materials science.
- Conduct research and analyze data to support engineering projects.
- Create detailed technical drawings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to solve technical problems.
- Oversee manufacturing and installation processes to ensure they follow industry standards and regulations.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and remain in good academic standing.
- Previous internship or academic experience related to semiconductor manufacturing.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Ability to solve complex problems and take new perspectives on existing solutions.
- Ability to exercise judgment by analyzing multiple sources of information.
