    About the role#

    This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2026 term. You will work on-site in Santa Clara, California, as part of our mechanical engineering team.

    What you'll do#

    • Design and optimize mechanical devices, machines, and systems using your background in physics, mathematics, and materials science.
    • Conduct research and analyze data to support engineering projects.
    • Create detailed technical drawings.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to solve technical problems.
    • Oversee manufacturing and installation processes to ensure they follow industry standards and regulations.

    What you'll need#

    • You must be currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and remain in good academic standing.
    • Previous internship or academic experience related to semiconductor manufacturing.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience.
    • Ability to solve complex problems and take new perspectives on existing solutions.
    • Ability to exercise judgment by analyzing multiple sources of information.
