About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026. You will gain hands-on experience in kitchen management and operations while working on-site at the University of Nebraska.
What you'll do#
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily food preparation.
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure they meet our standards.
- Assist with inventory control and the ordering of supplies.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized.
- Train new staff members on kitchen procedures.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a culinary program or a related field of study.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A basic understanding of food safety and sanitation.
- A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- The ability to work in busy environments.
