About the role#
The Lead Student Worker manages daily food operations at the campus location. You will supervise team members, oversee food production, and ensure the facility meets safety and quality standards. This role requires a balance of operational oversight and hands-on support to keep the service running smoothly.
What you'll do#
- Create work schedules and maintain production records.
- Direct daily activities and supervise other food service workers.
- Train and mentor staff members.
- Monitor food storage and preparation to ensure safety and quality.
- Conduct weekly inventory and prepare orders for production.
- Maintain equipment logs and perform preventative maintenance checks.
- Coordinate catering events and ensure timely delivery.
- Fill in for absent staff members and perform cashier duties as needed.
- Communicate with the team and attend regular staff meetings.
- Work occasional night or weekend shifts for catered events.
What you'll need#
- You must be a student at the Aramark location.
- Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Ability to resolve interpersonal situations and maintain emotional control under stress.
- Knowledge of operating a cost-effective program.
- Completion of a sanitation course before or during your first year.
