About the role#
The Student Barista Lead manages daily food operations, supervises team members, and ensures quality standards are met. This role requires a student currently enrolled at the Aramark location who can balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on food service tasks.
What you'll do#
- Create work schedules and direct daily activities.
- Supervise, train, and mentor student staff to promote teamwork and efficiency.
- Oversee food production to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to serving schedules.
- Maintain accurate weekly inventory and prepare orders as needed.
- Keep the department sanitary and ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Perform equipment maintenance, track logs, and recommend replacements.
- Handle cashier duties and assist with catering events, including occasional nights and weekends.
- Fill in for absent employees to maintain service levels.
What you'll need#
- Must be a student at the Aramark location.
- Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Basic arithmetic skills and knowledge of cost-effective program operations.
- Capacity to maintain emotional control under stress and resolve interpersonal situations.
- Must complete a sanitation course within the first year of employment.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration or Operations Management.
