About the role#
As a Student Worker for Food Service or Catering, you will help prepare food and maintain safety standards on campus. This role focuses on building customer service skills while supporting daily kitchen and service operations.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Set up workstations like prep tables, service counters, and hot wells.
- Serve food to customers and anticipate their needs.
- Replenish food items and keep products stocked.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize workstations after use.
- Store food according to safety standards.
- Maintain a positive demeanor with guests, clients, and coworkers.
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must have or acquire a food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing or walking for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or use personal protective equipment as required.
