About the role#
This position offers students a chance to work in food service or catering operations at Mena Public Schools. You will assist in daily kitchen tasks and gain experience in food preparation and customer service.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Store food products according to safety standards.
- Set up workstations such as prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables.
- Clean and sanitize workstations after use.
- Serve food to customers and maintain a positive demeanor.
- Replenish and stock food items as needed.
- Follow company safety policies and ensure the security of assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- You must have or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use Personal Protective Equipment when required.

- Location: Mena, Arkansas.
- This is a paid, on-site, full-time position with a rolling term.
- This role is open to students, particularly those studying Nutrition.
