About the role#
Ardurra is hiring a Traffic Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. This role supports transportation projects for municipalities and public agencies. You will gain experience with real-world engineering tasks and technical skill development.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design and analysis of transportation infrastructure, including roadway and drainage systems.
- Prepare engineering drawings, technical reports, memoranda, and specifications.
- Conduct design and modeling, engineering calculations, and material quantity take-offs.
- Participate in field investigations, tests, measurements, and site inspections.
- Support permitting, regulatory compliance, and project scheduling.
- Contact vendors for quotes and help develop construction cost estimates.
- Review design drawings for accuracy and adherence to standards.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Bentley or Autodesk software is preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
