    About the role#

    This internship focuses on the procurement of goods and services for the scientists, engineers, and organizations at Argonne National Laboratory. You will work within a team to manage the acquisition of products and services required for laboratory operations.

    What you'll do#

    • Create and manage purchase orders using proprietary contract administration software.
    • Contact suppliers to confirm pricing, follow up on past due orders, and close out contracts.
    • Assist procurement staff in resolving vendor transaction exceptions in Workday.
    • Communicate with laboratory staff and suppliers to support procurement actions.

    What you'll need#

    • U.S. citizenship.
    • Current full-time enrollment at an accredited institution with at least one semester completed.
    • Completion of two years of undergraduate study in a business-related program, such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or Finance.
    • A cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
    • Experience using Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
    • Ability to negotiate between large-scale project goals and individual work assignments.

    • This is a full-time, paid position.
    • The role offers both on-site and remote work options.
    • The position is available on a rolling basis.
