About the role#
The Energy Services Intern supports billing functions for generation, transmission, and services. You will handle monthly reporting and perform after-the-fact checkout for energy and transmission transactions. This role provides experience with energy markets, financial settlements, and data analysis while working with experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Support administration of MV90 daily interval meter data.
- Review and compare interval data to RTU/HMI data by delivery point.
- Validate energy transaction data accuracy in MCG and the Member Hourly Cost Causation system.
- Perform after-the-fact checkouts for energy and transmission transactions with ACES or counterparties.
- Prepare monthly generation, transmission, and economy billings.
- Resolve billing issues related to transactions, curtailments, and contracts.
- Archive data and provide monthly reports to customers and internal departments.
- Enter financial settlement data into SAP.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related technical field.
- High mathematical, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capacity to learn and work independently.
- Proficiency with Excel is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
