About the role#
Babette Home Care is looking for a Social Media Content Creator Intern to join our marketing team. This is a hands-on opportunity to build experience while supporting our mission to help seniors and individuals with disabilities live safely in their own homes. We are looking for students in marketing, communications, journalism, or related fields who want to contribute to meaningful work.
What you'll do#
- Draft and design daily and weekly posts for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Help produce caregiver spotlights and care tips content.
- Assist with filming and editing short-form reels and behind-the-scenes clips.
- Use social media management tools to plan and publish content.
- Monitor comments and messages and flag responses for the team.
- Track trends, competitor content, and hashtag performance.
- Pull weekly platform reports and help summarize key metrics.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
- An active personal presence on at least two major social media platforms.
- Basic experience with design tools like Canva or Adobe Express.
- A clear, warm writing style with the ability to shift from professional to conversational.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to pitch new ideas.
- Comfort working with sensitive topics and respecting privacy guidelines.
- Bonus: Experience with short-form video such as TikTok, Reels, or YouTube Shorts.
- Bonus: Photography skills or a good eye for composition.
