    About the role#

    Bank of China USA is looking for an intern to join the Expatriate Management Team within the Human Resources department. You will assist the team in managing the expatriate lifecycle and serve as a functional backup. This is a full-time, paid internship based in New York.

    What you'll do#

    • Coordinate with your supervisor to implement expatriate processes, including recruiting, onboarding, transfers, promotions, and returns.
    • Monitor the legal status of expatriates in the United States.
    • Help expatriates with passport and visa applications, extensions, and renewals.
    • Assist with cultural adaptation and safety initiatives, such as mentoring programs and emergency preparations.
    • Prepare official letters, reports, and other documentation in Chinese for submission to the head office.
    • Analyze expatriate turnover and staffing demands.
    • Maintain and update the monthly Chinese staff list and provide quarterly reports.
    • Manage ad-hoc projects as they arise.

    What you'll need#

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Ability to work effectively within a diverse team and culture.
    • Experience in expatriate management is helpful but not required.
