About the role#
The Graduate Pharmacy Intern works under the guidance of the Pharmacy Manager to support daily pharmacy operations. You will help the pharmacy meet business objectives while providing patient-centered care. This role involves balancing clinical responsibilities with operational tasks like inventory management and expense control.
What you'll do#
- Assist with pharmacy operations including customer service, sales, inventory purchasing, and expense control.
- Deliver Pharmacy Care programs such as immunizations, injections, and testing under pharmacist supervision.
- Monitor patient outcomes to ensure therapeutic success and minimize adverse drug effects.
- Consult with patients regarding drug therapy plans and potential interactions.
- Review, interpret, and fill prescriptions accurately.
- Help optimize pharmacy workflow and financial performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited School of Pharmacy.
- A state-issued Pharmacy Intern license for California.
- Knowledge of laws governing over-the-counter drugs, pharmacy products, and third-party plans.
- An active Immunization Certificate.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Word.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet store needs.
