About the role#
Benesch is hiring interns for the Summer 2027 term to join our transportation team in Chicago. You will work alongside experienced professionals dedicated to improving roadway and highway infrastructure. This role offers mentorship from senior engineers and exposure to project sites.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to engineering projects focused on highway and roadway design.
- Perform traffic analysis and assist with plan preparation.
- Gain hands-on experience with engineering design software and construction documentation.
- Participate in collaborative project delivery within a team environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program for Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A strong interest in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering.
- Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently.
- A valid driver license and reliable transportation for travel to project sites.
