About the role#
This summer internship offers hands-on experience within a corporate communications team at a biotechnology company. You will work on internal and external communications, event planning, and general administrative support. This role is a full-time, paid position based in Durham, North Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Write content for the global intranet and the biweekly employee newsletter.
- Manage the company-wide mass email calendar.
- Collaborate with departments across different locations to ensure internal communications reflect the global employee perspective.
- Help coordinate all-employee meetings and internal events, including setup and follow-up communications.
- Proofread and edit documents to ensure they are tailored for the intended audience and platform.
- Maintain internal media libraries and track relevant industry news.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Communications or a related field with at least a 3.0 GPA.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities.
