About the role#
This is a full-time Manufacturing Co-Op position based in a laboratory setting. You will assist in processing components into finished molecular diagnostic devices by following established protocols. You will work under the supervision of senior manufacturing personnel to implement processes and manage daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Manufacture and assemble commercial products, focusing on the preparation of solutions like buffers and PCR mixes.
- Operate automation equipment for raw material processing and production tasks.
- Prepare, fill, label, and package solutions for distribution.
- Execute routine and critical production operations.
- Record data and update inventory in the database.
- Maintain clean production equipment and work areas.
- Assist management with the verification and validation of manufacturing equipment.
- Support the implementation of production processes.
- Report equipment or facility issues to your supervisor.
- Comply with all safety requirements, cGMP, and SOP documentation.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors degree program.
- Good communication and organization skills.
- Ability to work in an environment with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
- Ability to perform duties that require both sitting and standing.
Location & details#
- Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:30am to 5:00pm.
- Compensation: $18.00 per hour, plus eligibility for a variable annual bonus.
