About the role#
As a QC Engineering Co-Op, you will work with senior Quality Control Technicians to ensure our products meet strict quality standards. You will handle testing for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods. This role involves maintaining lab supplies, managing sample inventory, and helping the Quality Assurance team with document control. You will be expected to learn our specifications and procedures while providing feedback on how we can improve our processes.
What you'll do#
- Perform QC testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Enter testing data, generate reports, and finalize batch records.
- Report nonconforming results to senior lab staff and the Quality Manager.
- Assist with follow-up investigations when issues arise.
- Restock consumables and maintain samples required for lab operations.
- Support QA functions by maintaining internal and external documentation.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment as a higher-education student in Biomedical Engineering, Biology, or Chemistry.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to perform basic lab tasks like micro-pipetting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Clear oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and follow defined procedures.
- A team-oriented and proactive approach to work.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
- This is an on-site, full-time role (40 hours per week).
- The position is paid at $18.00 per hour.
- The term is rolling.
