    About the role#

    As a Research & Development Engineering Co-Op within the WATCHMAN division, you will assist in the design and development of medical devices. You will work with teams to create technology that improves patient outcomes. This role focuses on the Left Atrial Appendage Closure portfolio.

    What you'll do#

    • Design, fabricate, and prototype new device concepts based on clinical feedback.
    • Develop new test methods to evaluate device performance.
    • Support product development teams with testing and development tasks.
    • Analyze clinical and market data to identify new opportunities.
    • Review procedural images and data to create better educational materials for internal and external use.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or dual master’s degree program in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2029.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Ability to work full-time from May 17th, 2027, to August 17th, 2027.
    • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

    Location & details#

    • This position is located in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
    • The role is on-site, requiring you to be in the office five days per week.
    • You must have reliable transportation to commute to the office.
    • This is a paid, full-time internship.
