About the role#
Bird Construction is hiring a Student Supply Chain & Fleet Management Coordinator for a four-month co-op term starting in September 2026. This role is based in Calgary and is designed to provide you with a project you can manage independently while receiving support from a supervisor and technical mentor.
What you'll do#
- Support the National Supply Chain team with Master Data Management and coordinate data validation between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct market research on purchasing and subcontract administration to inform proposal content.
- Assist in developing templates and standard content to streamline purchasing processes.
- Compile and analyze spend data, vendor utilization, and external market data to support category management and strategic sourcing.
- Collaborate with the National Fleet Management team to document processes, procedures, and training materials for fleet and fuel management.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors on fleet initiatives and communication.
- Maintain internal documentation on SharePoint and track action items from meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Supply Chain, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related program.
- Completion of at least one semester of education following the internship.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- A sense of urgency and a commitment to achieving goals.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships.
- Proficiency with Canva.
