About the role#
Blue Bird Day offers clinical placement opportunities for graduate students in occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, and social work. We review applications regularly based on current supervisor availability. Selected candidates will complete an interview process before a placement is confirmed.
What you'll do#
- Complete clinical placement requirements within our intensive therapy program.
- Work within a collaborative team to support children with autism, ADHD, and other developmental disorders.
- Participate in our preschool-like therapy setting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a graduate student in occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, or social work.
- Interest and experience in the pediatric field are encouraged.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, paid, full-time position.
- Placements are available at our locations in Chicago and Wheaton, Illinois.

About Blue Bird Day
Blue Bird Day provides intensive pediatric therapy for children between the ages of 2 and 7. The program uses therapeutic rotations to simulate preschool and kindergarten environments for children with various developmental and sensory needs. Founded in 2014, the company operates out of three locations in Chicago and Wheaton. It employs a multi-disciplinary team of therapists, behavior analysts, and social workers to support individual family goals.
