About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work within Commercial Banking at BMO. You will support the lending process for new and existing clients while gaining exposure to portfolio management and risk assessment. The program runs from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027, and requires full-time availability for the duration of the term.
What you'll do#
- Analyze credit information to support lending decisions for commercial banking loans.
- Perform financial analysis and calculations, providing recommendations to your manager.
- Prepare detailed credit summaries to evaluate creditworthiness and inform decision-making.
- Monitor portfolio performance and compliance, assessing metrics and industry trends to identify risks.
- Structure new, renewal, and extension loans in alignment with client needs and bank policies.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Foundational proficiency in financial analysis, loan structuring, and credit risk assessment.
- Ability to use data analysis tools effectively.
- Previous experience in credit, lending instruments, or financial operations in a corporate or banking environment is preferred.
