About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to support commercial banking operations in Madison. You will gain experience in credit analysis, portfolio management, and loan structuring while working within a professional banking environment. This is a full-time, paid position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Analyze credit information to support lending decisions for new and existing commercial banking loans.
- Perform financial analysis and calculations to provide recommendations to your manager.
- Prepare detailed credit summaries to assess creditworthiness and support decision-making.
- Structure and support new, renewal, and extension loans while ensuring alignment with client needs and bank policies.
- Monitor portfolio performance, analyze metrics, and assess industry trends to identify risks and opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Foundational proficiency in financial analysis, loan structuring, and credit risk assessment.
- Experience using data analysis tools.
- Relevant experience in credit, lending instruments, or financial operations within a corporate or banking setting.
