    About the role#

    As an Enterprise Cybersecurity Vulnerability Intern, you will support internal vulnerability management operations. You will gain hands-on experience by assisting with vulnerability scanning, data analytics, remediation tracking, and reporting. This role provides exposure to enterprise cybersecurity tools and processes within a Cyber Fusion Center environment. You will work alongside experienced professionals to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world security challenges.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with vulnerability scanning and assessment using enterprise tools.
    • Support vulnerability data analysis by identifying trends and tracking remediation progress.
    • Validate patch compliance across systems.
    • Develop and maintain vulnerability management dashboards and reports.
    • Extract, transform, and analyze vulnerability data using Python or SQL.
    • Collaborate with vulnerability analysts to support outreach efforts.
    • Participate in team meetings to discuss emerging threats and remediation strategies.
    • Partner with senior analysts and present your findings during team reviews.

    What you'll need#

    • Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Analytics, or Data Science by December 2028.
    • Knowledge of coding languages such as SQL or Python.
    • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, solutions, and technologies.
    • Familiarity with basic networking protocols including TCP, IP, HTTP, HTTPS, and DNS.
    • Ability to use business intelligence or data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
    • Knowledge of vulnerabilities, cyber threats, information security frameworks, and standards like OWASP is preferred.
    • Strong communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
