About the role#
Bowers Accountants & Advisors offers internship opportunities for the 2027 season. You will join either the Audit or Tax team to gain hands-on experience in public accounting. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position. We do not provide visa sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Learn the business of Audit or Tax by working directly with our staff.
- Assist in planning and preparing Audit and Tax services.
- Collaborate with Audit and Tax Staff Accountants to support client projects.
- Learn our internal processes, policies, and software tools.
- Provide accurate and concise updates on your project status.
- Identify, understand, and address specific accounting issues.
- Improve your written and verbal communication skills.
- Take part in firm outings and activities.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an Accounting or Finance degree program.
- An interest in a career in public accounting.
- Preference for candidates pursuing the 150-credit-hour academic requirement for CPA eligibility.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

- Locations: Rochester, Syracuse, Ithaca, and Watertown, New York.
- Terms: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Pay: $20.00 to $28.00 per hour.
