About the role#
The Cherry Point refinery in Blaine, Washington, is a major facility on the West Coast. As an Instrumentation, Controls & Electrical Engineering Intern, you will work within a team environment alongside operations, maintenance, environmental, safety, and engineering personnel. This role involves gaining hands-on experience in a refinery setting while contributing to technical projects and maintenance activities.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support for operating units, including project design and management.
- Support day-to-day maintenance and reliability activities for refinery assets.
- Troubleshoot critical instrumentation and electrical equipment.
- Develop scope and execute operating unit outage activities.
- Use analytical methods to develop maintenance strategies for instrumentation and electrical equipment.
- Provide technical recommendations to front line teams and production personnel.
- Collaborate with process engineers to improve unit operations.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Current cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.
