About the role#
As an Electrical Engineer Intern, you will perform routine assignments under close supervision. You will apply standard design techniques and procedures to support various projects. This role requires daily interaction with a multi-discipline team through meetings and face-to-face discussions to ensure project completion.
What you'll do#
- Prepare basic design sketches and perform calculations for equipment, components, or systems.
- Gather data to help prepare equipment specifications, inquiry documents, and purchase requisitions.
- Conduct field trips to existing plants to collect operating data and equipment information.
- Evaluate vendor bids and drawings to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Help prepare equipment lists, load summaries, design guides, and contract proposals.
- Participate in plant start-ups and field assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program for Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies.
- Working knowledge of computer software and automated engineering design equipment.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
