About the role#
The Brunswick Boat Group Technology Center in Edgewater, Florida, is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern for the summer of 2027. This full-time, on-site internship provides hands-on experience in research and development. You will work alongside experienced professionals to apply classroom theory to real-world engineering projects, contributing to the development of marine products.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in developing and executing new product ideas into manufacturable products.
- Create 2D drawings and 3D solid or surface models for new product concepts.
- Install, test, and troubleshoot AC/DC electrical circuits, components, and systems.
- Generate documentation for manufacturing, including construction drawings and process work instructions.
- Support the development of electrical components, panels, and wiring harnesses.
- Generate engineering changes to release new or improved electrical systems into production.
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve technical issues during the design process.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, with at least two years of coursework completed.
- Experience with Computer Aided Design software, specifically Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Catia, or Pro E.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling.
- Ability to work full-time from May to August 2027.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- Knowledge of the boating, fishing, or marine industry is a plus.
