About the role#
Byrne|Zizzi CPA, PLLC is hiring an Intern for the Spring 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Oxford, Mississippi. You will receive guidance while completing entry-level tasks to help you grow professionally. You will work in an office setting and may travel to other firm locations as needed.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and review client financial statements.
- Complete accounting engagements, including write-up, payroll, and sales/use tax.
- Prepare individual federal and state tax returns.
- Review and organize tax information provided by clients.
- Navigate the software programs and tools used by the firm.
- Manage your workload to meet deadlines and productivity standards.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in college.
- Pursuit of a Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and work well within a team.
