About the role#
Byrne|Zizzi CPA, PLLC is hiring an Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Aberdeen, Mississippi. You will receive guidance from senior staff while completing entry-level accounting tasks to support our clients.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and review client financial statements.
- Handle accounting engagements including payroll, write-up, and sales or use tax.
- Prepare individual federal and state tax returns.
- Organize and review tax information provided by clients.
- Process transactions and conduct research to support client needs.
- Navigate firm software programs and tools to produce quality deliverables.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in a Bachelor’s degree program for Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
- A willingness to learn new technology.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
