About the role#
INTRUST Bank is looking for a summer intern to join the Business Process Improvement team within Bank Operations. This role supports analysts and business partners by documenting workflows, analyzing operational data, and assisting with improvement projects from discovery through implementation. You will gain hands-on experience in project coordination and cross-functional collaboration while working on tasks that help improve bank processes.
What you'll do#
- Partner with analysts and operations teams to document current workflows and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in the full lifecycle of process improvement projects, including intake, analysis, recommendation, and implementation.
- Collect and analyze operational data to spot trends, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create process maps, procedures, project documentation, and presentations.
- Help maintain tools used to track project progress and key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with department personnel and other business units to share information and support team goals.
- Assist leadership with reporting, special projects, and seasonal work.
What you'll need#
- Current studies in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and an interest in learning systems like Power Automate, VBA, and Power Query.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage tasks, and pay close attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn new workflows.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive business information.
Location & details#
- This internship is located in Wichita, Kansas.
- The position is on-site and full-time (40 hours per week).
- The program runs for 12 weeks during Summer 2027.
- This is a paid internship.
