About the role#
Byrne|Zizzi CPA, PLLC is hiring an Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Tupelo, Mississippi. You will receive guidance as you take on entry-level accounting and tax tasks to support our professional team.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and review client financial statements.
- Complete accounting engagements, including write-up work, payroll, and sales or use tax tasks.
- Prepare individual federal and state tax returns.
- Review and organize tax information provided by clients.
- Manage account records and process transactions.
- Seek feedback from senior employees to ensure quality work.
- Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and firm standards.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current standing as a Junior or Senior student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
- An ability to learn and use new technology.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
