About the role#
This internship provides experience in the delivery of mental health services through the MYPAC program. You will work directly with clients to support their behavioral health needs. This role is unpaid and intended for academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the delivery of individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
- Gain experience with clinical interventions tailored to specific client needs.
- Participate in the assessment and planning process.
- Complete case documentation.
- Attend a 40-hour orientation and training session at the start of the term.
- Integrate into the clinical team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a master's degree program for Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Marriage and Family Counseling, or a related field.
- Good academic standing at an accredited institution.
- A minimum commitment of 100 hours.
- Ability to complete goals outlined by your university and site supervisor.
- You must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
