About the role#
This internship provides graduate students with hands-on experience in mental health services. You will work directly with clients to support their development and recovery. This role is unpaid and intended for academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Assist in delivering mental health services including individual, family, and group therapy.
- Participate in substance abuse treatment programs.
- Gain experience with clinical interventions tailored to specific client needs.
- Complete case documentation and assist with various assessments and care plans.
- Integrate into the clinical team.
- Attend a mandatory 40-hour orientation and training session at the start of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a graduate program for Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Good academic standing at an accredited institution.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Maturity and self-motivation.
- Comfort working with families who have diverse needs.
- An established contract between your academic institution and the organization.

- Location: Jackson, Mississippi.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Minimum 100 hours, subject to academic contract.
- Dress code: Business casual or clinical attire.
