About the role#
Wedgwood Christian Services is seeking a Nursing Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This role supports the residential nursing team in providing care to youth ages 10 to 18 within mental and behavioral health stabilization programs. You will work alongside nurses and clinicians to gain clinical experience in a residential treatment setting.
What you'll do#
- Observe and assist with medication management processes.
- Support health-related documentation, including assessments and observations.
- Assist with triage of minor injuries under supervision.
- Administer medications, including injections and vaccines, as permitted and supervised.
- Learn and apply standing medical orders and clinical protocols.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team environment supporting youth care.
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment grounded in the Sanctuary Model.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records in alignment with healthcare standards.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an Associates or Bachelors Nursing program.
- Strong interest in working with adolescents with mental health needs.
- Detail-oriented approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical clinical practice.
- Ability to maintain consistent, reliable attendance and adhere to scheduled hours.

- Compensation: Paid at $14.00 per hour.
