About the role#
Cardinal Glass Industries is hiring an Engineer Intern for an on-site, full-time, paid position in Abingdon, Virginia. This role involves hands-on work with control systems and automation equipment.
What you'll do#
- Design and troubleshoot HMI interfaces.
- Develop and debug PLC logic.
- Manage electrical panel design and documentation.
- Configure and troubleshoot VFDs.
- Integrate OEM automation systems.
- Implement and troubleshoot PLC networks including Ethernet/IP and Profibus.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Experience in a military or industrial control engineering environment.
- Familiarity with Rockwell (Allen Bradley) or Siemens systems.
- Ability to create schematics and panel designs using CAD software.
- Proficiency with tools like multi-meters and oscilloscopes for troubleshooting.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and project management tasks.
