About the role#
This is a student position within the Finance, Governance and Strategic Services department at the ACSTA headquarters in Ottawa. You will work 20 hours per week from September 30, 2026, to December 31, 2026. This role is paid and follows a hybrid work model.
What you'll do#
- Support file management and data entry tasks.
- Assist with general payroll and pension administration activities.
- Collect and analyze data to support team objectives.
- Help develop special initiatives and projects.
- Contribute to the design and improvement of payroll and pension tools.
- Provide support to other areas of the finance team as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university program in accounting, finance, human resources, payroll administration, or business administration.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of taxable benefits, government reporting requirements, or internal controls.
- Prior experience in finance or accounting is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to organize work, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a reliability status clearance.
