About the role#
The Logistics Intern supports the global logistics organization by assisting with transportation, distribution, and warehouse operations. You will work alongside teams in manufacturing, procurement, finance, and customer service to analyze data and improve logistics processes. This role provides hands-on experience in domestic and international logistics to help prepare you for a career in supply chain or operations.
What you'll do#
- Support domestic and international transportation activities.
- Assist with freight planning and carrier management.
- Monitor shipment status and delivery performance.
- Analyze freight spend and transportation performance.
- Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel.
- Support warehouse and distribution operations, including inventory movement.
- Extract and analyze data from SAP and transportation management systems.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify cost reduction and efficiency opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP, Transportation Management Systems, SQL, or Python is a plus.
- Comfort working in a manufacturing environment.
