    About the role#

    This internship provides hands-on experience by embedding students with drilling or completions engineering teams. You will contribute to projects that add value to company operations, which may include time spent on a drilling or workover rig or in a Decision Support Center. You will gain exposure to the company safety and technology culture while building professional relationships.

    What you'll do#

    • Conduct optimization studies and project look-back reviews.
    • Contribute to well design reviews and contractor analyses.
    • Participate in safety and environmental performance studies.
    • Work on tool case studies.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. program in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
    • Strong academic performance in core coursework.
    • Demonstrated skills in communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving.
    • Ability to demonstrate The Chevron Way.
    • Ability to drive on a routine basis if required by the position.
    • Note that this role does not offer visa sponsorship.

    • Locations: Houston, Texas; Bakersfield, California; Midland, Texas; Covington, Louisiana; and Greeley, Colorado.
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • Employment type: Full-time.
    • Compensation: This is a paid internship.
