About the role#
The Public Relations and Development Intern supports the team at Child and Family Services of Erie County. You will gain experience in non-profit communications and fundraising operations. This is an unpaid internship intended for college credit.
What you'll do#
- Write press releases, media advisories, and articles for the company website and intranet.
- Design flyers, banners, brochures, and social media content.
- Pitch story ideas to the media and manage internal and external messaging.
- Assist with donor prospecting and use Raiser's Edge software to manage donor portfolios.
- Help the team accept in-kind gifts and build donor relationships.
- Support event organization, meeting preparation, and donation drives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program focused on Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing.
- Enrollment in a credit-bearing program.
- Ability to work on-site at the office during regular business hours.
- A flexible schedule.
