About the role#
The Commercial Summer Internship Program provides exposure to commercial banking business lines through project-based assignments and mentorship. You will join the Oil and Gas vertical within the Corporate Banking portfolio management team for a 10-week period. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in Houston, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Write summaries of industry and market environments.
- Analyze potential customers, including sponsor assessments and borrower operating history.
- Assess repayment capacity and identify potential credit risks or policy exceptions.
- Prepare profitability, risk, and facility rating models.
- Conduct financial statement and projection analysis for commercial borrowers.
- Participate in the underwriting process.
- Communicate with Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers regarding financial reporting and account management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program with a graduation date between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2, with 3.5 preferred. Please include this on your resume.
- Coursework or experience in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Completion of a video interview assessment within 4 days of receipt.
- Current U.S. residency and permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
