About the role#
The Commercial Summer Internship Program offers a 10-week experience within the commercial banking business lines at Citizens. You will engage in project-based assignments, team discussions, and networking opportunities. This program provides exposure to commercial banking decision-making and live transactions. High-performing interns may receive early consideration for full-time opportunities at the end of the program.
What you'll do#
- Support loan underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and business development efforts.
- Conduct financial and credit analysis.
- Prepare financial models and credit approval materials.
- Monitor client reporting and covenant compliance.
- Perform industry and market research.
- Participate in client meetings, team discussions, and special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student graduating between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Minimum GPA of 3.2 (3.5 is preferred).
- Include your cumulative GPA on your resume.
- Coursework or experience in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Successful completion of a video interview assessment within 4 days of receiving the link.
- Must be a U.S. resident with permanent authorization to work in the U.S. (sponsorship is not available).
