    About the role#

    This internship offers hands-on experience in the construction and steel industry. You will work across departments to learn industrial and engineering technologies while receiving mentorship from professionals. This position is a full-time, paid role for Summer 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Cross-train within the department to build skills in industrial and engineering technologies.
    • Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities through process, quality, and safety improvement projects.
    • Collaborate with the continuous improvement team on specific initiatives.
    • Troubleshoot technical problems using your experience and job knowledge.
    • Participate in company safety programs and support the local safety culture.
    • Present a report on an improvement project at the end of the term.

    What you'll need#

    • Active enrollment in an accredited university program pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering.
    • Junior or Senior standing is preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Auto CAD, and Solid Works.
    • Ability to understand and apply ISO work instructions and standard operating practices.
    • Strong communication skills, including the ability to read, speak, and understand English.
    • Ability to work a 40-hour week schedule.
    • Physical ability to work in environments with extreme temperatures, dust, noise, and uneven surfaces, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push or pull up to 90 lbs.
