About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship focused on supporting mechanical engineering design efforts. You will work under close supervision to assist with drawings, specifications, and calculations across various project phases. This role provides exposure to construction administration and practical mechanical design applications.
What you'll do#
- Produce mechanical drawings, specifications, and calculations based on clearly defined tasks.
- Support basic drafting and layout for HVAC, piping, or equipment systems.
- Perform simple calculations, update schedules, and maintain model updates.
- Assist with construction administration, including shop drawing reviews and RFI support.
- Use CAD and modeling software to create 2D drawings and develop 3D mechanical models.
- Work with engineers, designers, and modelers to coordinate design documentation.
- Participate in learning activities to understand mechanical design standards and workflows.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for mechanical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field.
- Intent to pursue Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
