About the role#
As a Structural Design Intern, you will support the creation of drawings, specifications, and calculations throughout all project phases. You will work under close supervision to assist in developing structural designs and analytical models for various building types and materials. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing structural designs and analytical models using basic knowledge of common codes.
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D models using CAD tools.
- Learn the basic use of Tekla Structures software.
- Collaborate with engineers, modelers, and detailers to deliver high-quality design solutions within budget and schedule.
- Support construction administration by reviewing submittals and shop drawings.
- Respond to RFIs and participate in site visits.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a structural focus.
- Intent to pursue or progress toward an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
