About the role#
The Commercial Banking and Credit Internship introduces you to various career paths within the bank. You will work on project assignments, participate in job shadowing, and build a professional network. You will engage with internal partners and senior leadership to learn how the bank prospects and manages commercial relationships, assesses lending risk, and provides cash management services. The internship concludes with a Capstone Project related to Relationship Banking.
What you'll do#
- Build an understanding of business development and relationship management.
- Prepare elements of credit approval requests using data from multiple systems.
- Create company spreads using financial statements and tax returns of varying quality.
- Complete a Capstone Project related to relationship banking.
What you'll need#
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail to produce quality results.
- Ability to work as a motivated and organized self-starter.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.

- Location: Kansas City, Missouri.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 18, 2027, to July 30, 2027).
- Work Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
