About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Co-Op position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site at our Hunt Valley, Maryland facility. You will own a project focused on improving production loss in areas like cost, quality, and safety. You will use data analysis and problem-solving tools to drive improvements in our manufacturing processes.
What you'll do#
- Apply process improvement tools including statistical process control, process mapping, control charts, and Lean methodology.
- Analyze critical line data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop standards and train line technicians to support continuous improvement.
- Work with New Product Development, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure new products are implemented effectively.
- Drive cost savings by improving productivity, material utilization, and labor optimization.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering with 1-2 years remaining until graduation.
- Working knowledge of statistics, specifically Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Proficiency with software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, drawing software, and SAP.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and information-gathering skills.
- Knowledge of Lean tools such as value stream mapping, TPM, 5S, and continuous flow.
