About the role#
Crop Quest, Inc. is hiring an Agronomy Intern to assist farmers with crop production decisions. You will work alongside our team of agronomists and precision ag specialists to provide unbiased service to our customers. This role focuses on helping farmers reach their operational goals through timely recommendations for seed, fertilizer, and ag chemicals.
What you'll do#
- Monitor fields for disease, weeds, and insects while using imagery tools.
- Develop recommendations for crop rotation, fertility management, and crop budgets.
- Manage water resources through irrigation scheduling and soil moisture monitoring.
- Perform grid and zone sampling.
- Analyze yield data and work with soil texture, pH, organic matter, and elevation data.
- Create variable rate recommendations.
- Record field data using geo-referenced software.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a related field.
- A valid driver’s license.
Location & details#
- Location: Scott City, Kansas.
- This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship.
- The position follows a rolling term.
