About the role#
This is a 10-week paid internship focused on the Engineering department. You will help identify, analyze, and forecast material flow while supporting track capital planning. The program includes exposure to company operations, executive networking, and cross-functional learning opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Update and create engineering drawings using Microstation.
- Process data to support track renewal and planning decisions.
- Assist with the technology refresh for Track Capital planning software.
- Conduct field studies through site visits and evaluate production teams.
- Analyze system production and capital planning information, including break-even analysis for track welding.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Industrial, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work in an office environment and occasionally outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and CAD software like MicroStation or AutoCAD.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work different shifts as assigned, which may include weekends or holidays.

- This role is based in Jacksonville, Florida.
- The program runs from May 24, 2027, to July 30, 2027.
- This is a full-time, on-site position.
- Travel up to 10% may be required.
